Dogecoin and Litecoin Mining Calculator (DOGE + LTC)
Break-even point (shutdown price)
Mining is unprofitable: DOGE needs to rise 15% to break even.
LTC break-even at the current DOGE price: $95.57.

Litecoin and Dogecoin mining: profitability
Scrypt mining today works as merged mining: thanks to AuxPoW, your hardware mines Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time without splitting its power. That's why revenue is higher than from a single coin.
Shutdown price: the key number
With two coins, the break-even point is flexible: LTC revenue covers part or all of the electricity bill, and DOGE comes almost for free. The calculator finds the DOGE break-even price like this:
DOGE break-even price = (electricity cost − LTC revenue) ÷ DOGE mined
If Litecoin revenue covers the whole electricity bill, mining Dogecoin pays at any price above zero.
FAQ
What is LTC and DOGE merged mining?
A Scrypt ASIC mines Litecoin and Dogecoin at the same time: the Dogecoin network accepts Litecoin miners' work through AuxPoW. You pay for electricity once but earn two coins, so the calculator counts revenue from both together.
Why are LTC and DOGE difficulties different if the hashrate is shared?
They are two independent networks. A Litecoin block comes every 2.5 minutes, and difficulty adjusts every 2016 blocks, roughly every 3.5 days. A Dogecoin block comes every minute, and difficulty changes with every block, so with the same hashrate it is lower for DOGE. DOGE difficulty jumps within minutes, so the calculator uses its 24-hour average.
Is Scrypt mining worth it with expensive electricity?
It all comes down to ASIC efficiency — how many watts it uses per 1 MH/s. The calculator subtracts electricity from the revenue of both coins and shows net profit and your shutdown price.
When is the next Litecoin halving?
The LTC block reward will halve from 6.25 to 3.125 LTC at block 3,360,000, around summer 2027. Dogecoin has no halvings: the reward is fixed at 10,000 DOGE per block. The calculator currently uses rewards of 6.25 LTC and 10,000 DOGE.
